As workforce shortages continue to impact the aged care and early education sectors across Australia, St Agnes' Catholic Parish has launched two new initiatives designed to support employees, attract new talent and invest in the future workforce.
The new initiatives, Parish Perks and Parish Pathways, provide practical support for employees while creating new opportunities for students, career changers and members of the wider community to pursue meaningful careers in care.
The announcement comes at a time when demand for skilled care professionals continues to grow. National workforce modelling predicts Australia will require hundreds of thousands of additional aged care workers over coming decades, while regional communities face increasing competition for qualified staff.
At the same time, many households continue to feel the impact of rising living costs, with housing, transport and healthcare remaining significant expenses for Australian families.
Chief Executive Officer Tony Leahy said the initiatives reflect the Parish's commitment to supporting both its current workforce and the next generation of care professionals.

Through a new partnership with Beny, employees now have access to thousands of discounts on everyday expenses including groceries, fuel, shopping, dining, travel and entertainment. The program is designed to help employees stretch their household budget at a time when cost-of-living pressures remain front of mind for many families.
The Parish has also launched Parish Pathways, a new workforce development program offering scholarships, study assistance and professional development opportunities to employees and members of the wider community.
The program aims to make careers in aged care, nursing, early education and other priority workforce areas more accessible by reducing financial barriers to education and creating clearer pathways into the sector.
Whether someone is a Year 12 school leaver exploring their first career, a university student looking to gain experience, or an existing employee wanting to upskill, Parish Pathways provides practical support to help people build meaningful careers while strengthening the local workforce.
